Indian Ocean Earthquake
Your help is needed now
On 26 December 2004, coastlines around the Indian Ocean were heavy destroyed by smashing Tsunami waves after a devastating undersea earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale.
The countries most affected are Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Somalia, Maldives, Malaysia, Burma and others where
over 295,000 people are reported to have been killed, an
estimated 100,000 plus injured and several millions left homeless.
Those lucky enough to survive are facing a new risk from respiratory infections and disease.
Infrastructures, hospitals and drinking water distributions are destroyed totally. Survivors and inhabitants are afraid about more Tsunamis after possible after-quakes.
In a matter of seconds, women lost their husbands, husbands lost their women, parents lost their children and families lost their homes. In a matter of seconds, your donation can go to work, helping those who need it most.
